The Children's Home recently was tasked with alot of building maintenance and general update along with unexpected bills. John and Darcy Fullford went to prayer and the children at the Children's Home also went to God and that night God gave us the answer with The Fullfords' sending church. Brother Mark Logan update!

Dear Concerned Friends: September 13, 2009

I have just returned from my 6th month long trip to Malawi, Africa since 2003. After over 13 years as a pastor and 9 years before that as a youth pastor, God has lead me to quite a varied ministry. Between Oct. 07 and Nov.09 I will have taught and preached in the following countries: Malawi (3 months), Pakistan (2 months), Republic of Georgia, Cambodia, Dem. Republic of Congo, United Arab Emirates (several visits), Zambia, Cuba, Indonesia and Myanmar. While stateside, I have conducted Missions and Prophecy Conferences throughout Canada, USA, and the Caribbean Islands of St. Lucia, St. Thomas, Jamaica, Dominica and Anguilla. I praise the Lord that He has kept me safe & free from illness, protected my family, and used this ministry to see hundreds saved and many others strengthened in their service for Him.
On this most recent trip, I taught on topics from I and II Corinthians in 6 different locations around Malawi for 3 days at each spot. HUNDREDS OF PASTORS AND DEACONS and many of their wives from each region attended, slept on mats on the ground and were BUILT UP IN BIBLE DOCTRINE. Then on the Sundays, I enjoyed preaching in different village churches down dirt roads and dusty bicycle trails. There were many who came over the border from Mozambique and one pastor was missing his leg from an encounter with a large crocodile.
It gave me great joy to teach in 3 large churches that were built this past year with funds sent over from supporting churches and others committed to the work there. The ladies in Donna’s company sent the money for one church in the FASTEST GROWING MUSLIM AREA. The young pastor goes soul winning every week and has won many Muslims to Christ who are now in his church. They were so receptive to the teaching of God’s Word. IT WAS A JOY TO PROVIDE FOOD (GOATS, MAIZE, CABBAGE), GIVE OUT READING GLASSES, SHIRTS, TIES, BIBLE STUDY BOOKLETS, AND SOME BICYCLES to pastors who oversee many other smaller churches in their region. THERE IS A GREAT NEED FOR BIBLES! My translator, Andrew, has just finished the Chechewa New Testament We are hoping to get it published and sent over soon. COULD YOU HELP US?
Please continue to pray for the orphans’ needs. Their beds are in many cases over a foot too short, their shoes worn out and money is needed for their education so they can cope when they leave. Food is not the only urgent need but I am happy to report that their diet is much improved because of more emphasis on vegetables, fruit, fish, milk and eggs. I CAN SEND A PICTURE AND LIFE HISTORY OF AN ORPHAN TO ANYONE WHO WOULD LIKE TO CORRESPOND INDIVIDUALLY. Let me know. Elaine, a nurse gave medical exams to each orphan and we are trusting to have a medical team come out next year to go to some villages where thousands have afflictions and are too poor to get medical attention. Thanks to Matt Hahn from Canada who helped me teach, played much soccer and distributed many balls, shoes and soccer shirts, Kayla from Phoenix who taught the orphan teens, Harry, Marilyn, and Elaine from Asheville and my son Andrew who enjoyed being with the orphans – teaching and playing games.
My last 3 day meeting was at the remote orphanage site in Ntcheu where I stayed for 2 nights in a storage shed built on the property. The outdoor “facilities” had no seat, the shower was a hose from a blue container above but at least I had a mattress to sleep on. Outside in the cool night air, over 200 men and women slept on little mats or even on the bare floor of one of the buildings recently built. WE ARE SO BLESSED.

Mapanga

Dear Family in Christ,

A BIG HELLO from Malawi, I have been trying to write this letter for 3 weeks. I have quickly learned that a missionary’s job description is to be on call 24 hours a day to do everything and anything needed at that moment. I have problems getting projects done because of all the disruptions to deal with physical, emotional, and spiritual fires. All praise I give to the Lord and Savior who is so gracious to take our feeble efforts and then turn them into great and mighty things through His power and loving touch.

So much is happening. To start, the church here at Mapanga is bursting at the seams. There are new visitors every week. We use a 3 ton lorry to make the several trips to the villages to pick up the people. This added to our group already there makes for a FULL house. On Sunday mornings I continue my teaching at Bible Way Baptist Good Samaritan Church in the village of Njuli. I have asked the ladies of that church to become more involved in the children’s class so I can get more teacher trained and be able to split the class into smaller groups. I am gearing up to teach the ladies Sunday school. I will start with e or two times a month, so I can be free to assist my new children’s teachers, much disciplining is needed.

We have started a junior Bible college for the orphans here at Mapanga. We meet on Saturdays and will finish out first semester August 29^th; we have 18 boys and 9 girls enrolled. It is a joy seeing the young adults grasp the promises of God.

Many other exciting things have been happening among the children at the orphanage. I was tested for genuineness and have apparently passed the test. Some of the children even call me “Mama G” Every chance I get I bring up scriptural matters. Through my efforts and others involved, we have the children admit that they are not saved and many of them now have made a true profession of faith.

On August 13-15, we hosted a Bible Conference with Pastor Mark Logan from the states. Because of the tremendous response of both men and women, the ladies could not fit in the auditorium so we had to set up several class rooms for the over flow. Originally I was scheduled to teach one session with the ladies, but ended up teaching four classes. All these people stayed here at the college compound for the three days of the conference, what a tremendous time we had.

Missionary to Malawi

The Holy Spirit was moving in Malawi!

CEO and Founder Dr. Gardiner and Alice Gentry are proud of the results in Mapangua with the teaching from Bro. Mark Logan. The Preaching and the teaching reached 500 men and women at the Mapangua Good Samaritan Victory Baptist Church this week. The annual visit from Bro. Logan proves the work is continuing and reaching more and more. The next couple of days will take Bro. Logan to other areas of Malawi for more teaching in different districts. The Disciplship Materials were also handed out for the Pastor to take back to their church for their congregation. The churches have started a church library. The Pastors and wives are healthy and lots of new babies this year.

The fan belt on the Fullford truck broke on their way to the Jesus Film. Satan is always trying to prevent the Lord's work and once again Bro. Fullford and the nationals continue on. There were 1500 people at the film and approx 150 were saved that they know of today.

Good Samaritan Victory Baptist Church Mapangua has start a Mission board showing were the missionaries are from that come to visit. The congregation has decided to support Bro. Mark Logan as their first missionary. We see the church growing spiritually! Praise God!

Bro. Mark Logan has arrived safely. He has brought some helpers and visitors! This is the time for the annual Bible College Bro. Logan is instrumental in. The group will go out into the districts and teach the Pastors new and encouraging information of the Bible. It will be exciting to hear about the first meeting which will be held at Mapangua at the Bible College! Lots of Pastors and their wives have begun to arrive.
