I just thought I would send a photo of the young men and boys who participated in our February “Preacher Boy” night. We had seventeen get up and preach, and some of them did a good job, and some did not, but Lord willing they will improve!
We have been having a lot of rain over the last couple of weeks. I am afraid that it is coming too late as much of the corn we have been seeing is stunted, and already tasseled.
We started the new bath house 3 weeks ago, and it is looking good. The walls are up and the plumber is almost done roughing in the walls. The roof will go on next week, then the plaster, paint and plumbing finish. I am excited about having something that is new, and done well! John Fullford

The Gentry's Malawi Africa
Merry Christmas from all of us at Victory World Outreach Ministries
Yearly assessment, December 2009 year ending.
Thank you for trusting us with your dollars and various helps that have advanced the ministry in Malawi with a harvest of souls numbering in the thousands. Many have been fed, clothed and treated medically. Many others have been taught the Word of God where there was no teaching helps. Churches have been established and buildings erected to house the multitudes seeking spiritual guidance. With some we have seen slow stages of growth considering their deprivation of proper diet and access to schools.
We have a small missionary staff who are tirelessly continuing their endless task of overseeing the Good Samaritan Ministries in our absence. However we do have a large staff of trained nationals who are working alongside and doing a great job also. We commend Bro. John and Darcy Fullford and their family, and Sister Sharon Goodman our missionaries, and our nationals who have long been helping to oversee the works there; Bro. Henry Chatata, Bro. Chris Gome, Bro. Andrew Nyenga, Bro. Navigator Gome, Sister Thandiwe Chikufenji and Bro. Rackson Kaiwe. Added to these we have 420 plus pastors, 38 evangelists, elementary school teachers, caregivers, maintenance helpers, guards and other assisting workers. All help to complete the job daily.
We are most grateful to the many short term helps from the U.S. – this year alone we had help from California, Alaska, Canada, North Carolina, West Virginia, Maryland, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Indiana, and Arizona. We thank God for all who desire to come and help with the tasks that are overwhelming!
“You” can be the answer to someone’s “cry” in this third poorest country in the world. God has placed a “few” missionaries in this poverty stricken place to be your point of contact to help pierce the darkness and bring the saving Gospel Light. Will “you” place in the missionaries hands the substance needed to help the perishing multitudes, and to help educate those who need proper schooling to make a living?
PLEASE HELP by sending funds to school our young people in the children’s home. To school our elementary students this coming year, it will cost $550 per student. To school our high school students it will cost $750 per student. This includes food, clothing, transportation and book fees. Can “you” help educate these young people so when they are old enough to leave the children’s home they can adapt and survive in their country as citizens that will make a better society for them and others?
Remember: Bro. Chris Gome (faithful worker) diagnosed with a severe case of tuberculosis. His daily medicine will cost (U.S.) $7 per day.

Blessing, Jason, Betty and Harriet headed up the soulwinning team to Milepa, Mulange. This is also Pastor Green January Jr.'s church district. The testimonies given at church on Sunday were so exciting and lots of blessings of people coming to know the Lord.
Fridays are "Preacher Boy" nights. John Fullford, Navigator, and any boys that want to be preachers are given 10 minutes. The names go in the hat and when your name is drawn you are given a chance to Preach. There was alot of excitement at Mapanga Friday night along with encouragement from all that attended.

Malawi has been a blessing to me. In September 2008 I spent two weeks with a group of six men and we worked on building roof systems at both the Mapanga Orphanage and three hours north at Ntcheu. It was a great experience to be involved in the Lord’s work and to be able to help with the building process. Also, the Lord richly blessed me with a burden for the people of Malawi as I saw how physically and spiritually needy they are. In the villages that I observed, they have neither, electricity, running water, inside plumbing, nor have they ever slept on a bed. Their food consisted mostly of maize, which is very non nutritional. They scratch out a day to day living. This September, my wife Marilyn, and I, and a nurse from our home church had the privilege, and I mean privilege, to spend two weeks in Malawi working at the Mapanga Orphanage and the churches in the villages. What a blessing it was. As we rode to the church at Bawalia with John Fullford and his family we passed villagers walking up to two miles to attend church. We stopped along the way and picked up as many as would fit in the SUV. I thought it was full with 6 in the back, but John said he had 11 in the back before. As we approached the church about 15 ladies from the church surrounded the car dancing and singing hymns as the tossed flowers on and in the car to welcome us to their church. It warmed our hearts to see their love for us and the Lord. They had very little, but showed us the love of God in their actions. We were involved in village medical clinics with The Fullford family at Bawalia and Ntcheu. It was heart breaking to see the many medical needs from colds to parasites in the body, injuries, malaria, cataracts etc. This monthly clinic is the only medical help they receive as they have no money to go to the clinic in town. We were involved in a health clinic at the orphanage where all the orphans were given a basic physical. They were all in good physical condition which was very encouraging. The improved food plan is certainly paying off in the good health of the children. While at the orphanage though, we were burdened with the need for educational tools for the orphans. As they are getting older and the time is coming to leave the home and go out on their own they will have to be able to take care of themselves in the outside world. This will be very difficult, I’m afraid, because they haven’t learned a skill or a trade with which to support themselves. They have been fed, clothed, have basic general schooling through high school, and know about the Lord Jesus Christ and are continually encouraged to receive Him as their personal savior. This, however, is not enough! Without a skill or a trade, they are forced back into the poverty of the village life where they will have to struggle every day to eek out a living. I don’t believe that is God’s plan for their future. During this visit, the Lord burdened Marilyn and I with the desire to raise the funds necessary to help with the training of the children to help prepare them to support themselves. With $10,000 we can provide the orphanage with a computer lab with 10 computers for both the older and the young children to learn typing, office skills, and computer operations. The $10,000 will include the computers and peripheral equipment, plus the electrical, lighting, desks and chairs; everything to provide a fully equipped computer room. When the money is raised, myself and two other men will go and do the work necessary to get the computer lab up and running. God is doing an awesome work both in the villages and at the orphanage through the missionaries and the national pastors. We were honored that we were found worthy to help in a small way with the work.

It is Sunday here and a regular work day in the Muslim world. I have had great opportunities as we have had our services in the labour camps Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. The labor camps have moved mainly to Abu Dhabi so that's where we have the groups of believers, one only 70 miles from the SAUDI BORDER!! On Friday night we had about 30 men after having meetings during the day with several as well. This is the day of worship here and the only day these laborers have off from working on the tall buildings here. Hebron, the church planter I brought over from Pakistan 2 years ago has won between 10 and 20 Sikhs and Hindus just in the last several months. I have met and briefly spoken to each one as they have welcomed me and hung on every word. I have spoken 3 different nights to groups in different labor camps of between 10 and 30 men squeezed in a bunkhouse room sitting on beds and all over the floor for 2 and 3 hours listening to the Word of God and singing. Last night a Muslim young man sat in on the meeting and heard every word. He was our driver and heard us discussing many things about the Lord on the way and return trip. Another time 2 Muslims, brothers who were getting married next month back in Pakistan (arranged by family ) invited us into their bunkhouse with some other Muslim men to talk. TODAY, A DOCTOR, ALI, FROM IRAN JOINED ME AT THE TABLE FOR BREAKFAST AND WE TALKED FOR AN HOUR, MOSTLY ABOUT GOD AND THE DIFFERENCES IN HIS god, allah and JEHOVAH. After we parted and had discussed what we believed, I asked him if he would accept a Farsi Bible, one of 5 I brought over and he did gladly and said he would read it.Then just awhile ago, I was on the brand new metro taking pictures and I sat with a young professional man from Bangladesh. Again, I shared the differences in who God is and how Jesus was God in the flesh and provided salvation and rose again. He had never heard about this Jesus, only the Muslim Jesus who was born of Miriam and died a martyr. He listened eagerly and said he would think about it. You cannot get much farther than that with a Muslim who has never heard about the Biblical Jesus and assumed what the Koran says about him is what is true. I cannot describe how wonderful it is to talk with Muslims who do not have their guard up but just want to know what I believe as a Christian. Please pray as I go to Jordan tomorrow and on to Myanmar for 2 weeks. I will write more when I return. I find it exciting that I am in the same city (Abu Dhabi) with Hillary Clinton and Christianne Amanpour of CNN reporting on all kinds of news concerning Afghanistan and the Israel Palestine peace agreement. BUT I AM ON THE KING'S BUSINESS WHICH IS MORE IMPORTANT??? God bless you.
