July 25th in the Ntcheu area

Friday evening preparation was being made to show the Jesus Film in the Ntcheu area. The Ntcheu area is also where the new 500 bed Children's Home is being built. The Carpenters from the Pitts Baptist Church in Concord, North Carolina are putting the roof on the church building and using their evening hours to go tell others about Jesus. I understand there have been 500 people that have come to know the Lord and accept Jesus Christ as their personal saviour.

TWO THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED attended the Jesus Film. The national Pastors moved the people into groups and asked the people the question and said the sinners prayer with them. I heard alot of rejoicing going on that night!

This picture is of another showing in the Njuli area. The preparation is getting petrol for the generator, setting up speakers and the screen and preparing the national pastors and letting people know what night.

Prayer letter from Evangelist Andrew

Dear Prayer Partners,

My name is Andrew, a Malawian by nationality; I received Jesus Christ as Lord and my Savior on the 4th of September, 1986 when a certain missionary visited my home village. His name is Mike Leczo from USA. Whom he met me he asked me a question about heaven. He said if you die now are sure you are going to heaven? This question seemed very simple to me because I took myself as a good person and very religious. Later on I found that I was going to hell. He began to witness me through the word of God. He read Romans 3:23 where it says all have sinned and read Romans6:23 which says the penalty of sin is death and hell, so because I was a sinner, I was going to die and go to hell. And he said even though I was a sinner God still loved me he sent His Son Jesus Christ to pay the price for my sins he read John 3:16. Therefore Jesus wanted me to be saved that day. He read to me Revelation 3:20. Lastly he read Romans 10:9, 10and 13. After this he asked me to accept Jesus Christ as my personal savior. From that moment my heart was pricked and immediately I confessed with my mouth and believed in my heart that God raised Jesus from the dead. Thereafter I received Jesus in my heart as my Lord and Savior.

He gave me several of his books. These proved to be about the first books I had read as a “babe in Christ” which really spoke to my heart and drew me closer to the master. In fact, his enduement of power and the man God uses so spoke to my heart that in a few months I completely surrendered my life to Christ for full time service.

Now God called me to serve him full time in the Good Samaritan Ministries here in Malawi under the Founder and Director Pastor Dr. Gardiner Gentry the man of God.

I serve as the Vice President of the Ministries, Education Director for the school of the Orphans and translator of books into our local language for our local churches. Although I am doing other jobs, my full time job is to translate the books, this vision came to me after I saw something lacking in our local churches. I began to translate gospel tracts into Chichewa which are now being distributed to all our country and Mozambique. We are receiving many testimonies from those people who have been saved by Jesus Christ through reading the tracts. There are over 19,207 reported to be saved. Not only tracts, I’m also translating lesson books of our fundamental doctrines. This time I’m also translating lesson books of our fundamental doctrines. This time Bible Way Press has taken over the job to type and put the work into booklets. They have managed to make 1,000 booklets of different lessons which I’m ready to distribute to our national pastors so that they should be using in teaching in their local churches. My vision is to translate more literature because the literature helps to bring lost souls to the Lord and encourage our churches to grow strong spiritually. Most of our local people like to read something and to avoid them just reading any literature they can be given like from the false doctrine teaching is to have our own printed literature and it is one way of spreading our fundamental doctrines. That is to say our literature can be read by many people whom we cannot see and reach them at same time.

Another vision is engaging in farming, we have started opening vegetable gardens where we have already planted different vegetables shifting from dependency to self-reliance. We need to grow crops and raise animals for consumption on our own. It is very encouraging to us by seeing Brother Chuck Miller and his Madam taking part in these projects by helping funds to start with these programs.

Brethren, we are at war with prince of this world and the battle is for the souls of men. I have said that to say this I am asking you to help me with this translation and printing ministry. I am asking for your prayers. I am asking for your financial support. If you already support me financially I am asking you to increase your support. If you support me with your prayers I ask you to continue and continue even more. If you receive this letter and have not supported this ministry, I ask you to please start. Do not think you have to make a large commitment for monthly: no amount is two small when the Lord is in it. If two fishes and a few loaves of bread could feed 5,000 people, I am convinced a few dollars worth of paper and ink will save an untold number of the lost. I have seen work here in Malawi and Mozambique here in Africa. God works!

Apart from all the translation work I am doing is another one, I am doing now is Bible translation which I need your prayers very much. I started in 2006 and I have seen the hand of God upon me how it is guiding me in this work. I am doing the King James Version into our local language Chichewa because the Chichewa Bible we are using now was translated from NIV which has many missed verses.

Lastly, I am a soul winner. I like soul witnessing every Saturday from January this year up to June I have witnessed 14,071 people among these 9,010 received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Some of them have joined our Good Samaritan Baptist Churches. Our country is a paradise for a soul winner, it is a country where you experience the Holy Spirit convicts the hearts of the lost sinners and God the father draws them to Jesus Christ so that their sins must be forgiven and get cleansed.

May Almighty God bless you as he touches and moves your hearts for this translation and printing ministry.

Your Brother in Christ
