The Garden

We recently read Andrew Nyenga's letter (you can see his letter here)and the desire to become more independent. The funds aren't always available for the orphanage, they live on a very strict budget. A permanent farm/garden will help meet that need. The children are excited to help in the garden and what a great way to get close to God. The work in the dirt, planting the seeds, having the God given rain and seeing the blessing of the vegetables grow brings joy to them. The funds for the treddle pumps pictured were donated by two Police Officers from the Pensacola Police Department. They heard about the need from Chuck. The seeds have been donated by Ms. Clara Staub and this year they were planted in plenty. Treddle pumps ($200 US dollars each)are a simple but effective way to move water from one area in abundance to an area of need.
